Accommodation rates vary depending on days of the week, school holidays, and numbers of people in your group.  The advertised rates on our enquiry page are for 4 persons, and extra persons are $25pp per night, with a minimum of 2 nights.

Payment of the half of the accommodation rate  is required to secure the booking, and the balance of payment is due at least 1 month prior to your arrival date.  Should you require more flexible terms for long range bookings please enquire.

A damages bond of $200 is payable at least 7 days prior to arrival, and refunded to you via EFT to your nominated bank account within 2 days of exit, providing there is no damage or deductions for wood or other items.  We remind you to send your bank details following exit, and deductions will be discussed with you.

We recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover travel risks to our property.  We do not offer refunds for weather, health or other extreme events that may result in your inability to travel.  A non-arrival is deemed a cancellation.  See cancellation policy at above link for details.

All beds are made, and a bath towel per person is provided.  Please bring your own beach towels as house towels are for in the house use only.

The houses have fully equipped kitchens, ovens, microwave, coffee machine (ground coffee), fridges and freezers.

Yes covered car accommodation for 1-2 vehicles.

Your pets are most welcome at Whispers with the following conditions:  please flea/tick treat your pet/s prior to arrival, no pets are permitted on any furniture or beds, and we request that you remove your pet’s droppings from around the house yard prior to departure.  Cleaners charge an extra $50 for removal of droppings around the house yard.  Owners are liable for any damage or extra cleaning caused by pets.  The house yard is fenced (pool fence and picket), though we are not able to guarantee that your pet will not escape.

Please do not allow your dogs to chase our cattle.

Yes cleaning and linen laundry is included in your price.  We require you to remove all of your items and rubbish on departure, and leave the house in a tidy state, with all dishes washed and returned to their original place.  Any furniture that was moved also needs to be returned.

A check list is in the house to summarise the exit requirements.

The river is located on the property and is often excellent for swimming.  On occasion when it is has rained heavily or in severe drought, the river is not suitable for swimming.

Please feel free to bring your own canoes and kayaks as there are excellent launching places along the river.  Be mindful of weather conditions, and do not enter if the river is in flood, due to strong currents.  Kayaks can also be hired at very reasonable hourly rates from the Kenilworth Homestead Address: 2760 Eumundi – Kenilworth Rd, Kenilworth QLD 4574 Phone:(07) 5446 0555

We will arrange to leave the keys at the house for you locked in a safe, and will provide you with the key safe code, 2 days prior to arrival.

River shoes or old sneakers, hat, swimmers/beach towel, sun block, insect repellent, food and drinks, camera, folding chair if you would like to sit by the river, ground coffee for the machine, good book or magazine.
